WHAT IS GERMAN?
This major is part of the Cultures & Humanities Exploration Group
UConn German majors learn how to speak, write, and read German. Professors in the department teach toward intercultural and linguistic competencies, with a focus on language AND culture. They employ an integrated curriculum that prepares students for travel, for speaking, reading, listening, and writing, for study abroad, and for potential work in German-language contexts and cultures.
