The Exercise Science program prepares students to analyze sport and exercise performance. This major prepares graduates for careers in strength and conditioning, sports performance, health and fitness promotion, sports medicine and wellness centers, rehabilitation facilities and clinical research programs. Many of our graduates will continue their education with advanced degrees in exercise science, nutrition, and public health as well as healthcare professions including medicine, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, and athletic training. Students complete coursework in general education, cognate areas, and kinesiology, with an emphasis on basic science courses. It has well-equipped laboratories in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Biochemistry, and Sport Biomechanics. Students also have opportunities to gain practical experience with internships and research programs right here on campus.
